Papa Bear and Angelstar, thank you both. I appreciate what you each had to say. Thanks for sharing your understandings about mind (waking & subconscious/dreaming) and how mind relates to the subtle-energy systems.
Lemex made a point about how the subtle mind directs energies to the chakras (which are part of the subtle body). I think the activity of the chakras relates to certain aspects of healing.

This can explain how our perceptions of the world. or our life experience, can shift. Maybe if we also say that
the more the psychic part of the mind is evolved, the more of an impact it can have on our bodies - I can see as helping to explain how "energy healing" or "spiritual healing" can have healing effects on the material body's tissues and organs, and on body processes. Healers are often asked to assist with the healing not only of a person's perceptions, emotions, and things like that, but with the condition of the body, as well.
