Book Recommendation

I have a "new" book to bring to your attention. It is The Real Middle Earth [ Magic and Mystery in the Dark Ages ] by Professor Brian Bates of the University of Brighton. He tells the story of the first millenium in Britain - the Celts, the Saxons, and the Norse and their impacts on pagan culture in Britain, and why christianity was difficult to put down roots here.
While I am on, also look at The Way of the Wryd by the same author.
[Makes a nice change from writers with silly made-up names doncha think ?]

I was thinking about getting that Brian Bates book the other day! I've heard some good things about it. Instead I went with the famous Dictionary of Northern Mythology by Rudolf Simek.

How do you like the Way of Wyrd? I've heard that it's an entertaining read...

It was while reading the Kabbalistic book, "The Way", that I came to the Revelation of how everything in the World, including that which we commonly think of as inanimate, is in fact, Aware.

This was after reading Physicist David Deutch' book wherein he defines what "Life" actually is.
Essentially, the transferance, and communication of, information.
Which connects also with the "Mathematical Universe" theories in Physics.

Of course, meditation on how everything is aware on one level or another, including say, rocks, might cause one to ponder different and various perspectives and beliefs, and bring ti mind perhaps, Harry Potter, The "Ring" of Mordor, and the like.
However understanding that awareness permeates everything is more than just entertaining fiction, and has basis in science.
I.E. - "The Conscious Universe"
