not grounded/ tarot cards depleted energy
This might seem like a silly question, but, if you are not grounded and you work with tarot cards can they make your energy feel depleted? I love tarot, so i picked a deck up yesterday so i could begin to learn. Today i woke up feeling like every bit of my energy was depleted. I just wondered if it could have something to do with the cards.

I don't ground when I use my tarot deck and haven't felt as if my energy is depleted, but I have a deck that is a terrific match with me. Some decks just don't feel very good so I don't take them home and I don't handle them unless absolutely necessary.
It's possible the deck you chose doesn't quite match with you, or you just slept very poorly.

what does it mean by making yourself "grounded"

To be honest, the main times I feel like my "energy" is depleted is:
1) Lack of sleep.
2) Haven't eaten in a long time.
3) Been physically active/exercising for a long time.
Very, very rarely do I ever have it happen due to working on my occult practices, be it tarot or something else. I'd take a close look at "mundane" causes first and eliminate them before suspecting something occult.

When I learnt 'tarot' with a teacher...
I protected myself and grounded myself..
and yes I felt tired after a couple of hours learning..
Its a lot to learn, so yes it is mentally draining.....
Be kind to yourself..

Im sure you are feeling better now.. but I found that with the wrong deck it would be much harder work the connection wasnt the same so would find it draining have now a fantastic deck of cards and the reading seems to flow a lot more..

I just did a reading for someone and after I felt light headed and tingly like if you work out without eating. I felt very hungry and like I needed to rest. I am so tired right now!

I find reading for some people very tiring:)
Maybe its a good idea to protect yourself,if you are an empath, with white light or a clear quartz crystal before reading.
I used to find the energy of rider waite heavy so I switched to Marseilles which I still prefer. But ultimately the reading comes from guides so im not sure why the cards should affect us
