Learning to worship the universal I AM.

It's important. People on the whole have a terrible relationship with their own selves. Me too. I'm learning that it's unhealthy not to respect the universal I AM.

I have a very healthy respect for God, but when it comes to me I fall flat. As I say it's important to learn.

Worship of any kind will keep you imprisoned.

The notion was that 'love sets you free'. Replace the word worship with love.

Excellent answer, my friend!
And what a prison it is to be devoted and to serve and to love...to be focused on the Creator of All That Is. (!)

As Ramakrishna said...I want to be taste the sugar, not be the sugar.

Each of us is suited with a particular individual temperament and tastes;
one wants to be God, no separation...another is into the longing to have union...
another sits and dreams of his Beloved, meditating on the heart in
love with his Protector and Divine Father, Mother, God.

It is a prison to even care what another does...focus on whatever you want my friend...the I AM,
Krishna, Jesus, who cares...God doesn't.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

I think that this article, although very old, ( theosociety.org/pasadena/forum/f20n11p502_the-guardian-angel.htm ) very simple explains very important things when it comes to ''find GOD,...'' For some strange reason we maded spiritual development in the modern world and contact with the divine extremely complicated and difficult, although it's very simple and accessible to everyone, and everyone can get it touch with our angels, bodhisattvas,.. if we have the courage or will to listen, trust,..

To worship you separate, one is higher than the other and you blindly accept this, no questions asked.

Replace the word worship with love - there is not much difference between the two IMO.

For me there is a big difference, I love animals infact all sentient beings but I worship nobody.
To worship is to put someone on a higher level than others, seperating into categories, everyone is equal in my opinion.

Worship for me anyway allows me to connect with feelings of divinity and devotion. Those connections are worth the illusion of putting people on pedestals.

There's not necessarily inequality in that relationship.
If a guru/Disciple relationship id off putting somehow, some of the Hindu deities or ancient enlightened human beings can be used as objects of worship.
