The next logical step

Abraham talks about the next logical step = inspired action, no resistance action etc. they also mention not to jump into things drastically, like don't just up and quit when u can't stand your job. But what if you feel like you should do something kind of drastic but not because you are upset but because you believe anything is possible and you want to live your dream life. Is it bad to hold yourself in something because you are afraid of taking drastic forced action? And how can you tell what is inspired and what is not?
