Himalayan salt lamps
Go buy one, u wont regret it.
http://www.naturallivingideas.com/hi...lamp-benefits/
The first time i used them i could actually see the energy emitting from them and sometimes still do, its like specs buzzing around them. And once their on for a while if u pick it up and smell the bottom where the light goes in, it actually smells like a forest/waterfall
Im sure many people here already have some, but no threads about them.
Stay well

I agree! They are really beautiful and really change the energy of the room. I also have a Himalayan salt candle holder. I used to experience SAD but for some reason since I got these, it stopped. I guess it is the warm glow :) definitely worth the investment, especially as our environment affects our health too

Just got one of these this weekend (I wish I had gotten a few of them instead of one)
They sure are beautiful, and I'm hopeful that it'll have a positive effect on our local environment.
What effects have people seen? Does it need to be turned on or will just its presence also have an effect?

I have about five I think.
I love the ambience of them. Not sure about what they emit. I just trust what I feel and connect to in me around most things for my environment. In this trust and intuitive awareness, something's feel good for me, something's feel not so good for me, so I tune in this way. I guess in trust I don't need to know what they do, but more trust I know what I need and let it just be and do its own magic. :)

The salt lamps need to be heated in order to cleanse their environment. The little light bulbs in them produce this effect.
I have had my two for a couple of months now and I honestly don't notice any difference in my living room. They are relaxing to look at so I find them useful only for that purpose. I don't regret buying them.

Apparently there is no scientific proof for any of the benefits that you describe folks. I just read about them on a Wikipedia page.

If thats true perhaps its the placebo effect why ppl claim why their so good (which by the way cures ppl as good as real medicine). It also doesnt take away the fact that it was formed millions of years ago, thats the type of mojo u cant measure

Salt lamps are beautiful and cast a lovely light into the room. There is something a bit peaceful about that light.
BUT...the ones I have known end up malfunctioning basically because they attract ANY moisture in the air. Even moisture you wouldn't normally notice. They 'weep' and anything you stand them on will become wet. The fittings underneath turn rusty very quickly and then the power doesn't work any more. They end up blowing the trip-switch.
Moisture/water + Electricity....not a good combination.

I bought a giant Rose Quartz lamp. Looks exactly the Himalayan ones, its pink of course and they cost about 20 dollars more. Lots of love/soft energy with this one
Thanks for the tips, I want to buy a couple Himalayan lamps for a couple of rooms. Rose Quartz is exclusive to my room, makes a wonderful centerpiece
