Parkinsons disease.
Does anyone have it or know someone with it? My partner has Parkinsons and lives alone with help from the Council. He is getting worse and it stresses me out. I just learnt on Wed that my son had 2 heart attacks since Xmas and has had tests done. He lives in Thailand and I don't know what the hospital system is like there.
I just need a bit of support at the moment so I'm not totally overwhelmed. Thanks.

I have a nurse colleague who has Parkinson Disease and another male friend.. My nurse colleague seems quite stabile and she was diagnosed about 3 years ago now. She tells me that she is on medication and has been appointed a Parkinson liason nurse who is very helpful.. She says that after a time she needs either a doseage adjustment or a medication change.. Speaking as a nurse myself, I'd say the patient needs to be contantly reviewed.
Please remember that any Complementary Therapies are to work alongside conventional medicine, not instead of it.
The second friend who has Parkinson suffers gait problems and has become unsteady on his feet and prone to falls.. He is now having a care nurse come in each day twice a day to see that he is ok, he also has a Careline installed to summon assistance if he falls..
Re your Brother and the 2 heart attacks.. I believe that hospitals in Thailand are often staffed by doctors from USA and are of a pretty good standard.
Some times when a patient suffers a Myocardial Infarction, they may extend the damage..this could well be the case.. If you can ask your brother what type of Myocardial Infarction it was, you will have a better idea as to how it will affect his recovery.. He needs to ask exactly what area was affected..
If you are going to have a heart attack the best one is the Inferior MI..
This means the blockage of the Coronary Arteries are at the distal portion and the least likely to cause serious problems.. Please feel free to PM me if you need further help... I hope this make you feel a little more reassured..
