Unconscious Astral Projection

Good morning! New member here :)

I've come across lots of information about conscious attempts at Astral Projection; however, I've found little information about unconscious Astral Projection (or AP happening without you trying or even knowing what it is).

I have absolutely no control over my AP & OBEs; they happen to me at random and with seemingly no cause. For the longest time, I didn't even know what was happening. I only knew that they were not typical "dreams."

I never know when I will experience them, and if I try to initiate it consciously, chances are I'm even less likely to experience it!

Has anyone else here experienced this?

Could I ask please, Is dreaming unconscious Astral Projection ?

I don't really lump Astral Projection and Dreams into the same category...

By unconscious I simply meant...I wasn't seeking the experience. But it is not the same as a dream... I don't even know how to explain it.

It all began with my experiencing sleep paralysis, and with guidance and learning, I'm now able to use that as a sort of spring board to AP or an OBE (I kind of think of them as one in the same really...) OR often I skip sleep paralysis all together and just start...floating out of myself.

But there is a very clear distinction for me between dream and AP/OBE.

I was curious because I have often thought of dreams as a form of consciousness/awareness projection and , well , because the dream environment seems to be where the consciousness is at , out of body.

This subsequently led to my having some small difficulty in distinguishing dreams from AP OoBE and NDE
