Vegan diet to gain weight

I'm trying to gain some weight since my body mass index is low. Do you have any suggestions for a vegan diet to gain weight?

Thanks.

That would have to entail simply boosting calorie intake by eating more. Something like coconut milk would be advantageous, though obviously up to a point.
Have you considered the bodybuilding approach?

I don't have any 'diet plan' but it would make sense to have plenty of carbohydrates, and plenty of things like Avocado -which is rich in 'good' fats, and high calorie, and eat plenty of nuts. They are also high calorie.
Brown rice, all sorts of potatoes (why do potatoes always get a 'bad rap'? -they are excellent food, eaten with the skins on!) wholewheat pasta....wholemeal/grain bread....cous-cous, buckwheat....Also Quinoa is good as it contains protein as well.

I am quite skinny myself, so have to make sure I don't lose weight, so I eat all these things alongside a balanced diet with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. However, I find that while I maintain my weight, just fine, I cannot actually gain much weight. But that is not to do with my diet, as I have always been this way, even years ago when I ate fish, eggs and cheese.

Nut butters! I've always been thin & wanting to gain weight and I have almond butter on toast with alfalfa sprouts every morning :-)

Peanut butter is good too.

Avocados did it for me I also say increase your portions. At the end of the day, weight gain/lost has almost a lot to do with calorie intake/burn

These are all good suggestions, though some of us have a tendency to be slim, which I think is just heredity.
