doing the work

A big part of manifesting and creating your life is the action you take. Doing the work is underrated because it implies doing some things you hate or making yourself miserable. But everybody knows that work has to be done to get some rewards and to get to that life you want. Here is my list of what doing the work means to me. Post your list here as well to inspire others

Doing the work means:
-eating healthy and saying no to sugar
-exercising every day
-keeping my thoughts and ideas about myself and life positive
-stretching every day
-moisturizing every day (taking good care of myself)
-keeping myself compassionate and sensitive when I have the urge to be angry or resentful
-keeping myself calm
-studying every day the subjects that will get me to my goals
-loving myself and being gentle with myself
-playing with my pet every day whether I have the energy or not
-doing all of my homework on time
-going to work every day and giving my best effort
-staying enthusiastic about life in some way every day
-staying true to myself and being at home with myself
-doing my affirmations and visualizations regularly
-keeping my house clean
-trusting and having faith that things will work out well for me
-viewing life from a place of love

Work has now become personal and positive for me. I know these things will keep me afloat and moving forward to better and better places. When I remember to do the work, these are the important things I will think about.
What does doing the work mean to you?

Not having rules (or lists of requirements).

But I get the idea and it's a nice list.

However, what beliefs do you have that cause you to think that you may sink without doing these things? Life is not a struggle unless you have that as a belief...

And I don't see living a spiritual life as 'work'.

You really misinterpreted the whole thing, but okay. Its not so much about not sinking as it is about prospering. And everyone has moments where they feel like they are sinking but these things could keep you from doing that etc...

I like the list too...a good one!

5thDimension...I think its more about personal growth than struggle per se. There is a certain amount of self-discipline in making efforts to be a better 'you'.

Personally, I work out 4/5 times a week and a current goal is being good with being 'alone' in life (no partner). In my view-a good goal and positive thing.
There's a lot entailed. It means growing in a lot of different ways. To be TRULY whole this way is something I wish I would have worked on a lot earlier in my life. Better late than never...ha.

But, I guess I should say what I really think or believe and
have found to be true...tho I love that list.

There is more action in inaction.

Simply being filled with expectation has brought me everything with
no apparent 'work' or apparent 'action'...
Trust, expectation, waiting with joy and knowing it is on it's way...

Sounds crazy, because it is opposite of the worldly mind...but I find this is how everything is made to work...it seems
to be The System...we are so connected to the One Consciousness, see,
that if I know I can have that 'thing'...I can.

Jesus knew what water was...he knew what his body was...he applied what he knew...there was not work, per se...
except connecting to the Truth of Reality...and so to show us...he walked on the water...
and through unwavering faith ...he encouraged Peter to join him.

This 'could' be labeled as work or action...because of prayer, meditation,
fasting, opening himself to receiving Divine Wisdom...but...
it was the inner work...from my experience.

I do more sitting for hours in silence, than someone working a week
and making $1000.
And money falls into my lap...people just give me gold and cash.

(That is... they get an inheritance, say, or sell something and make tons ... and in their hearts just want to give
me part of it...at dinner...and lunch...multiple times, different people...
God 'lays it on their hearts', as Christians say. They pass it to me
like a mafia pay off, sliding it across the table to me winking...Krugerrands, ounces of
solid gold jewelry, cash, checks...you all know someone gave me that $100,000 to pay off
my mortgage, I say this for new people...and I wasn't
surprised...I was humbled and grateful and happy, tho!! ) And I also pass my good fortune onto others.

I tell you this to inspire you, to encourage your spirit to continue believing in the goodness of this Universe...
( That I call my Father...but you can relate to It as you do.)

I sometimes get guff from people like they think I am bragging or even arrogant...no, I want the same for all of you!!

Well, auroragirl, seeing your list makes me feel a slacker.
Really, particularly the part of taking care of yourself. I'm a wrok at home mom, and i rarely give the time to myself. And I should! I understand the effort in cleaning the house, keeping things on schedule, i am a bit like that too. I like productive days, even if it means i go to bed exhausted.
You inspired me on creating a schedule and include time for myself. Maybe one thing i do that is not on your list is meditating and thanking my guides for the ongoing, restless protection,

Thank u for ur inspiration, and kudoz for the healthy living.

PS: I could not give up sugar, though... ;)

I share the view of 5th Dimension, it's so much better not having a list

I enjoy everyday because I play everyday my favorite hobbie :)

I think it could be bad for your health if you do things without energy,
I think it could be bad for your health if you do things if you feel compelled to do even you don't want to.
