Which crystals should NEVER be put in salt or water?

I'm so confused, I know some are ok, but what crystals/stones should not be cleansed with salt or water?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I put mine in the washing up bowl and use a polished duster on them. They haven't blown up or disintegrated yet...

Why shouldn't you put them in salt or water? What happens to them?

Selenite is certainly a no salt crystal as the salt damages the selenite.

Some crack, some disintegrate and some have dangerous toxins they give off when exposed to moisture.

Golly, I never knew that. I must have ones that are tough old stones.

Yup Selenite cannot go in the water either. It should be cleansed in uncooked brown rice.

Selenite also dissolves in water, so keep all forms of Selenite out of water.

This includes Satin Spar, Desert Rose, and Gypsum. They are all forms of the same mineral.

Incidentally, Amethyst and Rose Quartz will both fade in sunlight, so be aware of where and how you display them.

Gray hematite will probably rust, because it's an iron-based stone. I find it difficult to cleanse hematite, and maybe it doesn't need cleansing because it absorbs everything anyway-- like a cosmic black hole with a shiny pretty event horizon. ;)

I've read that coral will leak out its color in water, but... aren't they the skeletons of water creatures that managed to keep its color while under sea water for millions of years?

Some coral might be dyed brighter colors -- in which case, the dye might not be colorfast in water.

Good point about Hematite and rust. It's a form of iron oxide, which IS rust. Another form of iron oxide is lodestone (magnetite), so I would keep those away from water as well.
