snacks for when your feeling ill
Hey everyone,
What would you suggest for a upset stomach? I had broth this morning but my stomach is still feeling queasy. I've thought about some veggie soup but sadly since I'm in the introduction phase for atkins the carb counts are to high for me . Any suggestions? I really appreciate your help .

The classic tummy pleaser is apple juice mixed with water 50/50, and salt crackers. But I would say that if a diet makes you ill then drop the diet.

There's always baking soda in water or Alka Seltzer - like product. It helps me.
Or fresh ginger, chew on a very small piece of it (it's very strong) but it soothes and helps the stomach/digestion.

Hiya sensitivesoul
I listen to my body when it's a bit poorly. What is it telling you it wants (i.e. what do you fancy eating)?
Dry toast tends to be an all-round winner.

Something soothing and pleasant for the stomach is plain live yogurt (preferably organic!) with a drizzle of clear honey. Easily digested and your stomach will thank you!

I like jello when I feel ill. Sniffing a cut lemon can sometimes help nausea pass.

I'm thinking that's the problem right there... my wife tried atkins some time ago and it didn't agree with her either... you may want to check out the paleo
diet instead... I'm not a big meat eater but this one makes more sense the more I learn of it! :^)
Here's one of the best sites that I've found on the subject! :^)
