Black Snake

Hello! Last week I was out of state with my boyfriend visiting family and I had something that I think was a warning dream but I'm not sure. I rarely remember my dreams, I would appreciate and thoughts and opinions! :)


All I remember is a was climbing a small hill off a trail by myself, it was a bright sunny day with lots of green trees around me, when I got to the top I saw a black snake curled up and watching me, it didn't move besides its eyes following me but it watched intently like it was waiting. I panicked and woke up as I was trying to go back down the hill.

I understand why you think of the dream (snake) as a warning sign…
But i think there's more in your dream.
The path your following...your life path, maybe even about your life's purpose (which you may not be fully aware of, yet). The green trees...your heart. The sun shining...your true Self.
The black snake...i think can symbolize all situations that feel like tempting, testing etcetera.

When thinking about or even trying to feel what your dream is saying i have the feeling it is about: have confidence, try to follow your heart, try to stay true to yourself. Tempting and testing situations will Always be part of your (our) life(s). We love to think that there are ways for us to be in control of our lives but we just can't. And the snake/those tempting and testing situations can teach and give us so much.

Maybe this doesn't resonate with you...but i like to thank you for sharing this dream, because it gave me a little boost...

Whose family were you visiting? Sounds like you may be worried about whether his family will accept you or strike out at you. The snake was a threat to you moving forward. If you were visiting your family does your family accept your boyfriend. I suspect this trip brought out a fear of judgement from the family you were visiting maybe towards you if you were visiting his family or towards you about him if visiting yours. Did you have a situation like that on the trip, feeling like someone was being judgmental?

Your dream is warning you indeed, the family you are going to visit has that snake spirit which has got something to do with their past generational line. The trap indeed is where you are going.
