I have arthritis in my back. I get acupuncture treatments and it goes away for months at a time after that. But check a reflexology chart for pressure points that correspond to the knee. I fix my shoulder issues that way, using pressure points on both my foot and shoulder.

I watched a veterinary programme the other day, concerning the work of a vet, Noel Fitzpatrick (well known for his ground-breaking work with animal endo-protheses.)
He worked on a Golden Retriever with arthritis, and harvested stem cells from bone marrow, then injected them into the joint, and very soon, the stem cells built new healthy cartilage.

Now if they can do that with a Golden Retriever -why not with a human? The treatment is possibly available but of course it would cost quite a bit. But maybe worth investigating?
