The guest on coast to coast last night said some thing like " if you have a demon bothering you chant HU , it will drive it away " I am not eck my self , and have never really used that mantra my self . I just wounder if any one has used Hu to chase away a demon .

For others, Eckankar, started by Paul Twitchell in the mid 60s...believe the word HU
is a 'a love song to God'...'Eckists' believe much more about it, tho...
a whole different idea about Hu than about chanting Om/ Aum.
As we all know, belief is very powerful...if you believe deeply enough
you can shake salt around your room to chase off anything.
I personally don't have demons or anything else bothering me, desert rat.
But, hey, try it.
Eckankar is a very fascinating group...oddly, something is going on because those seriously
involved are the most genuinely loving people...and they could care less if you were to join their group...it is
tangible, gooey love...so something is really going on there...
Albeit, as you pay money to have discourses sent to you in the mail
to learn some deeper beliefs of theirs...including a lineage of Eck Masters on
different planes available to you.
It is basically a self study group.
A religion of The Light and Sound.

I have used ohm a few times . ( not on a demon ) I will try Hu , just to see what happnes . It just sounded strange to hear some one saying to use Hu to get rid of a demon . Now if this demon is realy a human created thought form , as many are , then Hu probly would work .
