Astral Projection technique

I apologize if this has already been brought up before. I searched through a few threads and couldn't find what I was looking for...

Anyway, I was just wondering if someone could give me a few tips on astral projection, particularly exiting. I've tried a few times and the closest I've gotten is having my whole body vibrate. But when I tried to get out (by rope method, floating method, and roll out method), I nearly rolled onto the floor, lol. The last time I tried, I wasn't even been able to get to the vibration stage, but that might've been because I had an Excedrin and a soda before trying it... It also doesn't help that I have the attention span of a squirrel...

I've been using binaural beats which seems to be helping. And the time I got to the vibration stage, I was lying flat on my bed without blankets and with headphones, and I imagined a heavy blanket on me so that it felt like my body was sinking into the mattress.

Sounds like you are doing well. Next time when you are feeling like you are sinking into the mattress, encourage the feeling. Sink further and further. You should find that you are at some place.

Thanks! I suppose it just takes more practice. I'll keep trying. :)

Yeah, lol. Be careful.

l find the technique of imagining myself in another room close by and handling a familiar object [some recommend 3, l think] effective. Just visualising this object/objects till you fall asleep. You'll probably wake up outside your body somewhere close by.
l think this was in William Buhlman's book.

Unfortunately I live in studio apartment, and I really don't want to wake up in my neighbor's apartment, haha. Maybe the hallway? But I'll try imagining handling a familiar object. Thanks for the tip!

Yeah, it difficult choosing a familiar object. l think it's better to have an object you feel an emotional attachment to. Although, a light switch might be a good choice [l've experienced this] because if you try to use the switch outside your body it usually won't work - this will alert you to the fact that your astrally projected.
Also, in the beginning the projections won't last long. lt takes practice..
