The Distinction.

The singular distinction evokes one seperation manifesting a dual state, but it is beyond the limitation of formal cognition, and the thought, though it is existant, has no edges of context for definition. The mere seeing evokes what is recognized as 'you' beyond any idea or formal structure, so that first subjective occurance didn't 'happen' as though it started sometime, and in our realm of thought it matters not which one is held in complete attention, for any of them once held in isolation are substanceless.

The distinction is prior to the differentiation, as the dual state is a singular event, and as this origin is 'you' we bename it the individual, which is a very literal word for the 'indivisible dual'.

So that's the basis where attention moves away from thought so they also slowly diminish losing form until so few remain definition fades and enters formless subjectivity, or the emptness of zen.

Seeing turns then, to what is behind it, like an eye is there but can't turn upon itself, but can feel its presence being, and there is where awareness arizes and the mind goes endlessly deeper, for when we use that word 'I' we refer to that which is aware, or the source of awareness.

Verse 1 Tao Te Ching:

The tao spoken is not the tao
The tao's name is not the tao
Nameless is the origin of heaven and earth
The named is the mother of myriad things
Without desire one constantly observes the essence
With desire one constantly observes it manifestations
These two emerge together
The unity is the mystery
The mystery of mystery, the door to all wonders
