Attracting people who have the same emotional wounds ...
I cannot understand how two wounded people and working on the same emotional wounds help each other and heal eachother ... doesn't make sense ...

Who can better understand your condition if not a person who experienced the same? Moreover, it is always more efficient to do something together and to support each other.

It's often easier to see how to help another than how to help ourselves. Two people with similar emotional wounds (they wouldn't be the same; no two people experience things the same way) from similar occurrences have a slightly more objective view of each other's needs and wounds than they do of their own, and so might be better able to help and advise the other of coping strategies and problem-solving.
Plus as others have said, it can be very comforting, and healing in and of itself, to know that one isn't alone.

Like attracts like, for better or worse. A lot of people are attracted to those who have similar emotional wounds as them, which can certainly bring out the worst in each other. However, if they are dedicated to healing then they can help support each other easily because they understand what the other person has went or is going through.
