Tarot Spread for the full moon

The full moon we are about to experience is meant to be a particularly powerful so I thought it might be nice to share a full moon tarot spread with all of you. I found this one particurly usefull.

Dark of the Moon spread

The Dark of the Moon spread is not intended for looking outward on a situation, or for readings with a specific question in mind. Instead, its purpose is to look inward, and give you insight into your own life. An example of what this spread gives you would be the answer to, "Where is my life at now?"

3-------6

1: Releasing. Things you should be letting go of in your life.
2: Retaining. Things you should be holding close to you.
3: Receiving. Things that are coming into your life.
4: Surroundings. How the world around you is affecting you.
5: Giving. What you should be giving to others.
6: Beginning. Something new that will begin soon.
7: Your lesson. What you should be learning at this point.

thank you for sharing, very interesting spread, one question though.. what is the moon connection here? do we get to do it only on a dark moon? full moon? sorry for asking but looking out the window the big full moon is looking back at me...and i noticed the title, tarot spread for a full moon.. just wondering here...

thanks again, sounds like a very interesting spread and i sure going to try this one very soon, maybe on the next full moon..

Green )))) t to me it says DARK moon..so to me it means for using at he dark moon not full moon.

Dark moons are female moons where as light [full] moons are masculine.

girls are born on dark moons and boys on or closer to full moons...explains their behavior...lol

sorry guys couldnt pass it up a good chance ....rfho...but we cant live without you .. okay that cracked me up even more .lolo

hi Uhmar, top title-tread title it says for the full moon, so you get a full moon and a dark moon ... i don't know which is which and if the moon is important in al of that..

Green)) she mentions dark moon in the body text twice so I went to the site she got it from and the discussion was about it being used on the Dark moon,,but as i kept looking in same thread and found this

thank you Uhmar,

i feel i really want to try out this spread, so i think i will just give it a try, and on a dark moon night i will do it maybe with a magic ritual, probably inside a circle, will see..
the 2nd alternative for the spread feels much better for me, but i'm not sure it is the most accurate one, will take a look into that as well..

will share if something interesting comes out of it

i did the spread last night, it had some interesting out comes..
made me think about the meaning of each position.. and i must admit i'm not sure i do understand fully #4 and #5...it is allways harder to understand about oneself.
i'm not sure about the position of the cards...it feels as if there are inner connection between the cards but it is not clear from the spread, so was looking of the visual linking.. will see
