At times it gets lonely, but I've grown so used to it now that it might be difficult for me to share a living space again. I appreciate company, but I need my alone time, my own private space...to retreat to, to "regroup" in---time and space to reflect and to recharge in solitude.

Plus, I'm not sure if anyone else would want Christmas decor up until March? ;)

I love Christmas.
And since COVID i put my decorations up at the start of November.
There is little else joy in world.

And I guess that those of us that need our own space and are happy to do our own thing living alone are the Empaths/ sensitives/ introverts/ mediums among us etc.

Me, I'd be happy to live in the middle of nowhere in a little hut.

Annona - I understand completely. It gets lonely at times for me too, but I can't imagine sharing my space. It's great to be able to have your own traditions and not have to worry what anyone else thinks.

Native Spirit - yes I can understand that. Once my marriage ended I had no desire to live with anyone or share my house again. My son is now in a lovely place elsewhere and I don't want to share my space anymore.

AngelBlue - I often think I'd like to live outside of society in a hut somewhere if only I could sustain myself - food etc. But I might get lonely after a while. Maybe if someone else like me lived not too far away and we could meet each other's needs for companionship once in a while!

I live alone. But I am open to the idea of sharing with someone quiet. I also want dog 🐶 & moggy cat 🐈‍⬛

I live alone and I love it. I don’t feel lonely because I have family and friends nearby and I live in a building with 17 other flats. I can do what I want, eat what I want, wake up or go to bed when I want, play whatever music I want and generally live in freedom. It’s great.

All true Neil, I agree. What’s missing though is fulfilling the physical need for intimacy (if of course you feel that need).
