getting spiritually lost

I'll admit it. I got lost. I got lost in things other than I. As a youngster I wondered off from myself to explore. To discover reality. And I got lost. I left my I behind thinking it was unimportant.

Many years later I realised that I am reality. Not the only reality, but my own. I went off to find God and people and I got lost.

My advice is; never forget your own I. I could have saved myself a lot of pain if I knew that.

I was a typical socialist dreamer. A person who discounted I AM. I hurt myself. I am coming back to my own I AM.

Enough said.

Blessings Honza!
I embrace you as you rediscover and embrace your being.
I have gone thru similar events in my life and I share that although I have come to truly embrace myself which was preceded by discounting myself, I wouldn't say that I came BACK. It is all so different now.
It sounds like you know what I mean.
Blessings, I am truly excited for you. If I wasn't a vegetarian and you lived near me..I would sacrifice the fattened calf to honor your return home!

Honza - It's taken me to middle age to come full circle back to myself through a whole lot of life experiences. And even so I stand on shaky ground. In fact, something tells me I'll be taking another trip around through old age once again, but that is life isn't it? It's all a learning process. That's what we're here for. It's the journey. I definitely can relate 100% to what you're saying. Thanks for sharing this post with us all. :)

Hi Honza: I am still that "Socialist dreamer", but.. that's who 'i am', sufficiently compassionate so as to value Life over the 'process' of, "How much Life can you afford, sir?"

Be well..

Well said. It is important to me to keep in touch with people. So I will never turn I AM into a condition of 'no others' or 'no us'....

I AM is taken to imply solipsism at times. That is where I draw the line.

There is a difference between Christ's 'social' I AM and Hindu's 'solipsism' I AM. I prefer Christ's message to India's.

Hi Honza: I prefer to 'test the message', with no expectations or agendas.. the 'message' will reveal its place in the function of Life, in this case the message of Christ is more functionally appropriate to a Life well lived, but.. the Hindu 'I AM', has a measured place in the process, it reminds us of the the passage, "The works i do you will do also, and greater works you will do".. that we are ALL 'children of God', Jesus simply had the awareness and will to claim his birthright.. in a subtle way, we are the potential of "I AM"..

Be well..
