Hello :-) I hope it's ok to chime in <3 I'm very much in agreement with H:O:R:A:C:E in regards to it being an opportunity to face fears. I'd like to add that I think dreams are very much a personal thing, so, one person seeing a wolf for example may mean something completely different than when you or me see one in our dreams. It's in a way "personalized symbolism." Your subconscious is trying to speak in your language. The color blue may mean something different from person to person. The same goes for experiencing blackness or "the void." So, I would pick out these key elements from the dream your wife had and "forget" for a moment what general meanings may be floating around out there, but rather think about what these things mean specifically to your wife. And as a tip, the very initial emotion/thought is often how you really feel about it. So, if you say "wolf," what is her immediate thought/feeling? Is it "power," "loner," "monad," "fear/bite/beast, etc.", "leader," "loyalty," "group?" You get where I'm going. It really depends on her very own, unique associations. When we have those, we might get a better picture of the overall meaning behind the dream.
My thoughts.
Much love.
