Relationships from a spiritual standpoint

i like what you said. I think mentally though, the problem with thinking in terms of 'extraordinary' rather than 'ordinary' is I tend to place more value on what is extraordinary. In my observation when I am doing that so is everyone else, then we all get into fights over this thing of value. So for me, I think it much better to think in terms of things being ordinary than otherwise... then the value isn't there and there is no reason for me to be fighting over things of great value.

I don't think I am the first to make this observation, either.

its awesome the affects on all relationships
i have talked to people i would never normally talk to and notice how open i am
and the mount people i have just wonted to give a big
people say stuff that is just channeled for me at the right time its grate
just being with people and letting them just be them
seeing how i build drama in my head and now how fast l let it go and see the glory of all people send love living in fear and control
growing in the experience rather than fixing

it grate when i am in this space but like all things but i noce the more i am in it the easier it is to step in this place

According to me relationships (not just companion relationships ) are practice ground for applying what you learn about your own self to others also who come in contact in every way (mentally / financially/ fairness/equity ).

Our spiritual learning is still basic if it does reflect in our dealing of relationships.

Great question. Relationships allow us to appreciate that we are more than just ourselves, it gives an insight into the oneness of everything. Service to others is a powerful tool for self growth, as it reduces the ego. But also, when we consider others, work for others, love others, we are expanding. Relationships spiritually are necessary, through the interactions we have, we create (and pay back) karma.

These are some great answers. I can't believe I only joined this forum 5 months ago, I have developed so much since then. Reading these answers I really feel much more in tune with what people have said here. Thank you all for your contributions.

it wasn't so long ago I asked the same question, now I have completely changed my pattern, and never felt more alive, personally it depends on your partner, you can awaken and they have no interest, you can give it a year or even more being compassionate and understanding, and nothing changes, you drift apart, allowing nature to take its course, then there are toxic relationships, it all depends on the relationship, and you as a person, you can give and give, but if you receive nothing in return, and feel low and negative, sometimes we have to change the outer pattern, so we align ourselves to our full potential, remembering your awakening is about you who you are, this is most important, but through relationships we are also learning who we are, so it will align in time, we reach a point when we realise what is true and we accept it, and embrace it.

I received a clear inner communication once, urging me to look at the one spirit indwelling all hearts and not be influenced by outer form.

If adopted, it would surely change the texture and quality of our relationships. I’m not saying I’ve assimilated this knowing fully* (*that’s because of mind-body identification) yet but yes, there is a shift. Learning never stops!

I like this seeker, to see into the soul of all beings. When we see into ourselves and bring this outwards through spiritual development, for me it was like I have stepped into another dimension, nothing seems to matter anymore in the sense of all fear and ego fade, oneness and being able to identify feelings and emotions in way to control how we respond/react to them, bringing our spiritual self to every situation in in our life with compassion.
