Reborn
As the universe breathe's
Giving birth to light over distant horizons
Vines of inspiration rise up
Climbing upon you
Seedlings bursting through the earth
To taste the mist
Urging with thirst
to satisfy the life that was promised to you
The vastness of your time
Matched by the essence within every ocean
The sweet salty air permeates
Cleansing forgotten tomorrows
and shattered dreams
The haze of living washed from your eyes
and with every blink a new sight
An immunity to lies
Fervently she moves you forward
Smiling, her good fortune upon you
Encasing you with her kiss of life
Juicy beams of sunlight
cast down upon your mask less face
Swarms of oxygen
buzzing and lingering upon your fingertips
Protecting and guiding
a vulnerable softness so true
As every step meets you
New found confidence aligns
Bringing wealth of the heart
Silence of the mind
Smiles sail upon you
as moisture expels from your eyes
If this be the life we were born to feel
why must we enter this world so blind
