Which do you think is more important?
Impressing people or just being real? I'm asking this because something I noticed about myself is that I no longer value fakeness.
I would much rather somebody just be real with me and I'll do the same however boring that might be.
Which is more important to you?

I'm me, warts and all. Nothing fake. I am 100% "what you get is what you see". I wouldn't know how to be fake, I am an open book.
Granted I'm not everyone's "cup of tea" , but hey ho .

A different take than some

I had a friend that loved the words ''being authentic, it was her new thing. Well, guess what?
I drifted away as her friend ...cuz she was hurtful and judgmental..To me, who
got her her job and gave her a place to STAY, giving her money as usual,
all after showing up uninvited.
She could have said whatever with more tact, is my point. None of it needed to be even said.
All my friends dropped her, too ...she was new here, lost that job, (being 'authentic' to the boss, no less') and left town, right after she
lost her opportunity working for Marianne Williamson, cuz of being ''authentic''...saying what she felt needed to be said!
Being authentic if it it's plain hurtful is not so great in my book ... going in either direction.
Leaving many things unsaid, thus, dealing with things on my own works for ME!
I have to ask myself, ''What good does it do?''
I think it could be called ''using your head'' or developing diplomacy...or balance.
I can always vent with a friend...get it off my chest if I need to.

Life let me “lose” my authenticity to find it again, over and over. I now think it isn’t about being authentic or not. It’s not one of the two. It’s just you live life and deal with people (whoever they are). There is no one way.

to be fair i feel like we do the work really and that it ties in with the idea of souls growth journey. i see it all the time now where people in the spiritual community rely heavily on energy updates, reading's either channelled messages or tarot card reading's or just listening to the guru's/teachers all the time but there's no real work done like that and it's said this is called spiritual bypassing which is what you see alot of recently. i think if spirit do help it's just a nudge, they don't actually run a marathon for you lol you still have to do the work/training yeah.
