I think I quite like the minimal sound when Im in the right mood, I will check that artist out on youtube and will listen to the Booka Shade tune now....

I'm not crazy about Zabiela's actual songs, but that Renaissance Master's album he mixes other artists and it has some really strong tracks imo. I think Booka Shade is on the more minimal, maybe electro side? I'm not even sure, kind of similar category as Trentemoller i would say.

That Booka Shade tune was cool. Not sure how to categorize it....progressive, deep....? It has a European sound to it. I listened to it on headphones and I noticed my wife sat next to me who could hear the music at a distance and she was jiggling her hands around a bit which is always a good sign hehe

Think this Missy Elliot remix by Jacque Lu Cont is really cool, its not even quite my kind of thing really, but on a big sound system in a big club I reckon it would go down very well. Cool video too.

And this just makes me happy and want to wave my hands in the air in a silly way....long intro, about 2 minutes, but worth it.

Not a huge Missy Elliot fan. Have some Bob Sinclair in my itunes library though don't listen to it much, though i like his big high energy kind of style. Northern Exposure was really good live, am a Sasha & Digweed fan. There are songs i have that i cannot find the artist or title of that drive me crazy lol i need an iphone apparently you can get a readout of a song through an iphone just by playing it. That could come in handy. A couple house tracks in particular actually.
Dave Seaman - (unsure of title) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EE5BGrjYsrU&feature=related
'Lola's Theme' - Shapeshifters (as opposed to Shapeshifter) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3MDG6h6QgE&feature=related

I've heard of a lot of the artists and DJs that you guys are talking about.
Renaissance is a great music label. They have produced some great CDs. Booka Shade is pretty cool. As is Trentemoller.
I recommend Agoria as an artist and DJ. Very interesting sounds.

Honza - Agoria i really like, thanks for turning me on to them/him.
Andrew - Yeah that's a good track, I recognize Steve Lawler, but couldn't place from where.
This thread has inspired some house music digging on youtube. Some house i find boring to listen to for too long, depends on my mood. I tend towards the cheesier side sometimes, or something hypnotic or with a good driving beat.
Is there such things as housey breaks, or break beat house? Sometimes i don't know how to categorize some of the more funky danceable tracks. My tastes can be somewhat mainstream i guess as well.
Here's one i put up in the what are you listening to thread from the Zabiela album.
'Never Ending Mountain' - Phil Kieran

Junkie XL - 'Tennis'
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HKKnNS8nsA
Hiroshi Watanabe - 'Genesis'

I'm running on fumes. My lack of house familiarity must be showing through lol
Tom Middleton 'Shinkansen'

Is this Tom Middleton track breakbeat? I guess it sort of is idk, i think so.
