New to the forums, by no means new to the spiritual
Hello,
New to the forums, not new to spiritual. A number of my family members are gifted. My own abilities awoke when I was 12.
As I see a few mention it in their intros - I don't smoke, I don't drink, and I have never done any of the recreational drugs in my life. I don't take medicine either, except for the rare antibiotics. I am such a mellow takes-everything-in-stride sort of person that friends & colleagues have joked the sky could be falling & I'd keep on trucking.
My abilities are to such extent my "gut instinct" upon first meeting people has never been wrong. Oh this isn't because I am shy, I am a people person. However, in that initial meet & greet [which lasts a minute, sometimes seconds] I can tell instantly if I like someone or don't - my instinct is so highly developed friends & family trust me completely, seeing as those that fall into the "don't like" category have routinely later shown themselves to be unsavory people. I could also sense the exact moment my aunt, by marriage but much like a 2nd mother, died despite living 600 miles [nearly 1,000kms] away – confirmed later by talking with her husband. When this happened, I experienced a sensation the likes of which I had never before nor have had since.
The last time I went to a psychic, with friends, a few years ago she asked me to leave because my spiritual presence was overwhelming and she couldn’t read one person with me there.
Ironically, just recently, a very devoted Christian woman called me an “angel child” when passing her with mum on the way to the local library; never met her before in my life, and she wouldn’t change her tune despite mum jokingly saying otherwise. This was interesting as not Christian. We should be being British / European but very few of my family members are. We are more spiritual or like my brother follow the old pagan beliefs. I am like other older members of my family – eastern beliefs, akin to Shintoism / Buddhism, well before ever looking at western religion. Not a new fad either; I just inherited my grandmother’s necklace which was made for her twin brother, nearly 70 years ago, by a Taoist monk when living there [this started with my great-grandparents].
Why did I join? To help and to see if there's anything I can learn. I just finished my "apprenticeship", it'd be the closest English word, with one of the aboriginal Elders last year, my family has always had good rapport with Indians [my brother is the adopted son of one Elder], and am always looking to learn.

Welcome!
Like everywhere else there are a lot of beginners here. Still, there are a few morsels here and there for the advanced practitioner.
