Gratitude

I've learnt something over the last week or so.

Gratitude is such an important part of why we exist. We come here to experience as much as we can, and therefore gratitude is the perfect compliment to all our experiences.

No gratitude means we don't value our experiences.

I honestly feel we need to be more grateful for what we are experiencing, because that is what we set ourselves out to do, and through our experiences we learn.

We be grateful to learn, and then we can move on.

Yes, and we all have so much to be grateful for.

This is SO true. I think many people know this and try really hard but they don't actually have a deep belief in gratitude. Like they want to be grateful and they keep telling themselves they should, but they are missing the mark a little bit. It took me several years to really get to a place where I have true gratitude for everything I have and everything that has ever happened to me, good or bad. There is so much peace when you get to that point.

We all do have many things to be grateful for. But blindness to them is common. Suddenly being unable to do something simple, such as walk, speak, or eat food puts those blessings right under the spotlight. Very poignantly too, especially for people who have suffered a stroke out of the blue....
It is important to be mindful of our blessings.
