Spiritual metal

I just love metal and I want to know more spiritual bands :)
My favorite bands are these:

Tenochtitlan - russian etnic doom metal band, they sing in mayan and aztek languages about South American ancient indian culture.

spiRitual - folk/etnic metal band with indian influences. Song Pulse is my favurite song ever - song about the pulse of Universe, the Great Goddess.

Natural spirit - ukrainian folk metal band, their song Ros Reka is so moving - about the soul departing from body, and how this soul stays with the place, with the land, to protect and love it forever.

Hades - black metal band from Norvey, check the song Pagan prayer :)

Skyforger - folk metal band from Latvia - they sing about latvian mythology and history.

What bands do you know? :)

Not sure if they are necessarily spiritual metal bands, but they definitely move me in that way...

Amon Amarth - Melodic Metal band, sings about mythology, etc. Would recommend song "With Oden on our side."

Swallow The Sun - not necessarily spiritual, but they have some beautiful stuff...I would recommend the song Descending Winters.

I would recommend the song "Elysium" by Stratovarius. The song is 18 minutes long, split into three movements, and it's about a soldier who dies in battle and eventually finds peace in the afterlife, all from the soldier's point of view.

Cynic is pretty good and has more of a spiritual feel to it's music, but they're more of a progressive metal.

This is an old thread, hehe.
But have you listened to Arkona? (It's a Russian pagan/folk metal band)
...and also Wardruna (It's more of a musical project than a band -- Not metal, but definitely worth listening to).

Wardruna is one of my favorite bands, but it is not metal. I think Wardruna is most spiritual music of any kind for me (except latvian folk songs).
I know Arkona, but I don't like the vocals...

I'm not sure if these bands are actually spiritual or not (though their music have folk/pagan themes)... I don't listen to much of them, but I do like some of what I've heard.
- Kartikeya (Their lyrics have Hindu themes. I like "Durga Purja" and "He who carries the head of Brahma")
- смага (Мои земли is nice, to me at least :p)
- Fferyllt

Anyways I should check out the bands you recommended (Metal is good stuff) Do they post Latvian folk songs online, btw?
