A Psycho What?
Psychopomps deal with the dead. With death.
Dying.
Whether we want to admit it or not, each of us is fascinated with death. Death touches us all. Whether it’s the horror of our younger self upon discovering our first expired little gold fishy or the screaming, tearing, aching loss of a beloved. The kind of loss that makes you long for death too. Yeah, you know that one, don’t you?
Some of us are obsessed with our own death: denying, avoiding it, welcoming it, and embracing it.
Religions of the world comfort or terrorize us with their versions of the afterlife. Teenagers are constantly on the brink of expiring, as in:
“But if you don’t let me go to the mall with my friends I’ll just die!”
At some point, everyone has (or will) truly wanted to die.
Clinically, death is defined as the permanent cessation of all vital bodily functions. Thank you MedicineNet.com.
Does that mean we just stop, cease to exist? Is it truly just like flicking the proverbial light switch? ON: you’re there. OFF: blankness, nothingness. If all you’re considering is the physical body, then the answer is yes.
But what about that vital part that is you; the part that dreams and thinks, talks and loves? Your mind, your personality, your soul? According to all the spirits I’ve spoken with, physical death of the body is only one transition of many.

The part of you that dreams, thinks, talks, and loves all comes from the spirit. Our personalities, quirks, dreams, goals, etc......all from the spirit.

hahaha! Clever!
& I think that we can come up with theories based on evidence from people who have experienced near death experiences, but that is only a small sample of what it is all really about. Our souls use these physical bodies as an automobile basically, once the physical body dies, your soul, your essence, everything that is "you" so you say, is still alive & well..but where your soul travels to, no one can fully determine..I have read some books & have talked to people who have been through certain experiences or have received "signs" from Astral Projecting..& what I have come up with many theories on this subject..but really, this world is HUGE & everything is basically infinite..The thing I am trying to get at I guess, is that everyone's mind has this certain capacity or limit...I believe that life after death is a mystery for a reason. As much information that we find can be diverse & viewed differently through each individual, as there is an infinite amount of planes & other dimensions. I think that where you go when you die depends on how you lived out your life, & where your soul came from to begin with..I am not talking about heaven & hell (because that, however, depends on your own version of it..) I mean, where your soul originated & what the intents of creating it was..& we will never know what happens until we get there ourselves..If people knew what life after death was, don't you think the overall purpose of living would be defeated? The hope, & curiosity of it all is what keeps us all going as humans..I hope that somewhat makes sense.

It is difficult not to be fascinated with death It is so mysterious and of course inevitable. I really liked this post, very interesting.

I'm talking about the spirits within us.
I wouldn't go as far as saying I'm fascinated with death. I accept it as an inevitable part of life.
