How to differentiate between astral projection and dreaming

You make a good point in that some experiences APPEAR to be evident of something more... in the beyond. This is why I am still on the fence when it comes to the possibility telepathy or shared dreaming in such a state of mind. I've had such experiences... only I have not been able to rule out the mundane explanations for them.

Guess what so is the physical world ;) It's all viewed and interpreted through our brain.

Maybe our brain is what we astral project, dream, hallucinate with but if this physical world isn't "real" and the astral world isn't real well then our brain must be a physical projection of what we associate the consciousness with or the soul? o. O

This was just an attempt to unite the mind-created and astral believer folks.

In the end though, if someone gains some kind of amazing information that helps them in their physical life... who cares if it's "all in our minds" or if it's "external to our minds".

Its helpful. That's the bottom line. :)

-All experience (waking or dreaming) is in the mind.

-We are not aware of every thought we have and we know more than what we think we know.

Is this another example of the tolerance of other people's beliefs which you promised to Lynn? Doesn't sound polite or tolerant to me.

If it doesn't sound polite or tolerant then that is your problem. I actually think it helps those who are being silly. They do need to grow up and they need to be told for their own benefit.

I don't feel like reading all these posts because I am too short on time to do so. But the second you realize you are dreaming and take control of your dream you are now astral projecting. Even in dreaming we are in our astral body in the astral plane, but it is very different because we are not aware of it and our subconscious mind is creating an environment it is used to. Once you realize you are dreaming your conscious mind is now in control.

I call it "phase state".

The fundamental problem is that how one thinks of their thoughts defines their own thinking. They become captured in a box of their own thinking because of the metaphysical nature of mind.

Put this way, how to open the box becomes self evident.
