I planted up a vegetable patch in mid October, due to a lack of space I decided to forgo the pumpkin & zucchini plants this year, although they provide well they take up a lot of space. This afternoon I decided to clean up what I thought were a few weeds growing behind the hen-house & Lo & behold here's a pumpkin plant & a zucchini plant doing quite nicely. I'd imagine they've grown there from feeding the chooks left-over & second-rate vegetables. But I don't need to know & I don't really care how they got there. I'm just glad that they did.

MUST be just out of reach for the chooks otherwise they surely would have dug them up and eaten them by now or at least turned them into a dust bath!

I am not at all worried about nature... she has it all sorted out
