New to meditation - could this be something to do with my third eye?

Hi everyone,

I have recently started to meditate and I have noticed that I can see vivid dark moving shapes, sparks of light amogst other wondeful things and I had a new experience today where I could see what looked like a human eye looking at me. It wasn't massively clear but I could make it out.

The thing that has perplexed me the most is that even when i've tried to meditate in the past (without much perseverance) or doing a reiki treatment on myself I have always noticed afterwards that each time I blink I get the imprint of what looks like either an iris or perhaps something which resembles petals of a flower??

I would be interested to know if anyone else has experienced anything similar?

It may well be nothing to do with meditating and just 'one of those things' but as I have had my eyes checked it just makes me curious.

Lottiex, early on in my meditation (about 1-1/2 years ago), I would often get a vision of an eye rising up in the sky like the sun would and sitting there, as if looking at me.

I took it that it was my third-eye opening and acknowledging me. however, I think that many of these visions are without meaning but beautiful in their own right. I personally wouldn't read too much into it but rather see it as the fact you are becoming more in-tune and are accessing the World of pure potential. Many confusing things will be shown to you. True, some of them have meaning but if you were to read into everything you see and experience, you will soon be asking a new question every few days. You are definitely not alone.

However, many of these experiences can be answered if you delve a little deeper into them and go into a meditation with the intention of figuring it out. Maybe try that?

I have also had this experience while in meditation. Also while spirit journeying. I was chanting one day. After I stopped chanting and sat in silence I could see and eye looking back at me! I was like "Oh hello eye ball". I figured it was my 3rd eye. So you are not alone! :) <3 Love.
