Identification help please
I've just found a pendant while clearing my parents' house, and I have no idea what it is or where it came from. I've looked at some images on the internet, and I think it might be serpentine, or, more likely, green jasper. Hopefully I've attached a couple of images. Can anyone help me identify it please?

If it's translucent, it's probably moss agate, but if not, it's more likely to be jasper or serpentine. Personally, I'm leaning toward jasper.

HI, I agree. In my experience Moss agate is transparent in the parts that are not green. Serpentine I think is a lighter more minty green, and the marbling here would suggest jasper.
Is it sparkly at all or at all transparent?

Thanks everyone for your posts. I hadn't thought of moss agate, but have had a look at some images on the internet and it does look like moss agate. There are small areas that are transparent, with the green colours showing as a layer underneath. I think that perhaps it's the wrong colour for serpentine, and not dense enough for jasper, so moss agate it is!

Thanks yes2life. I've just been reading up on moss agate, and apparently it is a stone for gardeners, which is very appropriate for me, because I really love gardens and gardening. The stone must have belonged to my Mum, and she also loved anything to do with gardens and gardening. I feel that I was meant to find this stone, or rather that the stone found me?
