What are spiritual doors?

I was not sure where to post this one sorry.

I had a strange connection today while trying to nap. Hadn't felt well all day so laid on my bed and shut my eyes, i felt someones finger rubbing my eyebrow, was startled but ignored it.
I then saw this old man in my minds eye pop up, he was laughing at me with no teeth, i didnt feel comfortable and told him to back off.
I sat on my bed repeating it then closed my eyes, a door popped up and it swung open towards me, the door had red streaks all over and old looking, i peeped a look through the door and it was pitch black which startled me again.
I looked closer through the door and everything inside was void.

Came across spiritual doors, what are they?

A spiritual door is a metaphorical door that spirit can move though into our plane.

When reading this thread I get a sick feeling to my stomach about this door you found. Please close it. Please. Nothing good will come of it. There are other doors for you to explore, with light and love.

Im unsure if i closed it, iv tried to visualize myself shutting it but is not as clear as it come to me. It just popped up and swung open and pretty sure iv not opened it in the past on purpose. I am sure iv come across it before though quite a few years back while at a development circle.
I think its been open for at least a year, iv had constant negative entities around me.
Before i went to the circle my abilities had just opened up and was very frightened, i wasnt even in the right mind when it woken, i was very depressed with agoraphobia. When they did awoke it helped me out of the frame of mind and made me stronger.
I found out about the development circle to help me understand. On my first time there they did a meditation with doors, im sure this was exactly the same door.
I have managed the fear of the entities and everyday im ridding them but they just keep coming, i see why they have with this door.
I wont and never have meditated because of these entities, i get bombarded with awful thoughts and visions.
How do i know if its definitely closed

Call on Archangel Michael to help you with this. Call on him, visualise him slamming the door shut and locking it, then add your own padlock to the door. Know within your heart that the door will never open again and that you will never be bothered again. Then keep your thoughts high and don't allow yourself to think of it again. If you get the visual image of door or man, laugh them off and put them aside.

This door you allowed to open, must be closed. You must learn to seal yourself off before opening yourself up. Find the door to light. Be aware of its presence and this will stop the unwanted.

If you want to enter the spiritual world you have to go through a door you create yourself: an ordinary door, a gate or by far the best: a cave!!!
This act seems pretty demanding and difficult forbeginners. (and I know what I am talking about)
Mind taking the same path back when you are returning slowly (!) to real life

the term i believe originated from the spiritual guide 'door keeper'
as if there was a 'door' to 'keep'
door keepers are a medium's closest guide and they control access to you
not just in physical mediumship but also other work as well

there are rituals you can create if you wish to visualize openning and closing the 'door'
