Atlantis theory

A couple of weeks ago, I was thinking about the bible and stories from other cultures. I came up with a theory that the Noah's ark story could actually very well be the Atlantis story. All the people were selfish and weren't very good at the time of the flood in both scenarios. And to Noah, if he was in Atlantis, the flood would be the destruction of his whole world rather than the [i]entire[i] world. He wouldn't have known what was beyond the borders of what he knew.

The flood story need not even be about Atlantis, there were a number of large flooding occurrences that are documented in both the Mediterranean and middle east that wiped out large and small communities of people.
Because you are right, it was "their world" not necessarily the "entire" world which got flooded, because they did not have a good concept of what the entire world consisted of.

If you are referring to Minoan Civilisation, The Minoan civilization was an Aegean Bronze Age civilization that arose on the island of Crete and other Aegean islands and flourished from approximately 3650 to 1400 BC. It belongs to a period of Greek history preceding both the Mycenaean civilization and Ancient Greece.

It ended with blast of their islands and submersed in the sea. And the remaining part later known as development of Mycanaean and later ancient Greece civilisation.

One more theory that Atlantis fought war with Rama civilisation bringing Ice Age in this world ended both civilisation.
