Looking for good books to provide Meditation Wisdom
The title mostly says it all. I've found a few books that have been good reads. The Untethered Soul (Michael Singer) and As You Think (James Allen) have been the best two I've read in the past year.
I am looking specifically for books that cover different meditation techniques, as I want to learn more about the different approaches and how I can leverage them in my existing routine. Most books I've found kinda go deep into just one area but never really look at the big picture.
Thanks in advance!

Read Journey of Awakening by Ram Dass. I loaned my copy and never got it back. I plan to buy it again. It's worth having on your shelf.

Just checked out 'The Untethered Soul' on Amazon, had a 'look inside' - what I read really demonstrates an intimate understanding of the workings of the human mind (I found it very funny, actually!), so I may buy a copy. Thanks for the recommendation, Max :)

I'm partial to books and writings by Ajahn Chah and Ajahn Sumedho - they are free online.

The Most Direct Means to Eternal Bliss by Michael Langford has some very interesting assertions that boil down the essence of meditation. Seems to me it's more of a Western approach. I don't really know anything about the author other than from the contents of his book.

Thank you all for such the great suggestions! I think 'Journey of Awakening' and 'True Meditation' will be next on my list.
