. My job isn't glamourous or high paying. I work as a "maintenance" or cleaning person at large department store. Scraping stickers off the floor, cleaning bathrooms, and making sure all the shelves in the meat and dairy areas stay clean doesn't sound very glamourous. What I like about it is it's fast paced, big store not a lot of people to do it. You're doing something different every day, I get bored easily, and I love making things look nice. The other workers are really cool to work with as well. I keep very busy and feel useful.

When you give something, you will get something back, and when you get something, you're obligated to give something back. The Inka treat it as a law of the universe, a principle that underpins our whole existence.

I have no employment but I don't attach my identity to that.

Any additional thoughts would be appreciated.

I look at who I have become is dependent on the life I have lived in which a big part of that is the work I have done.

I am pretty sure I would be a 'different person' today if I didn't do the jobs I did do.

As for unemployment: when not working, I would do things that benefited me. For example, remodeling and building on to the house.

Giving a response from a non dual perspective here. You are not what you perceive. You are where you are perceiving from. So you are not the doer of actions or the thinker of thoughts. You perceive thoughts and actions.

It's good to question who you are. The most important question of all: Know thyself.

You perceive thoughts and actions.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

Hallow. I really admire your attitude about your job. It’s people like you that make our shopping experience a lot more enjoyable.

It doesn’t occur to most of us when we use toilets in a shopping centre that someone else has taken the time and energy to make it clean and sparkling for us.

And, it’s people like you that make this world a better place imo

So thank you.
