UV Light

I forget the term used for crystals that glow under UV light. Recently I bought a torch so I've started trying it out on my collection. Tugtupite, and the Ruby in my palmstones glow quite nicely, however the one which really stands out is my Mangano Calcite. It's not a stone that I've really used. Perhaps now is a good time :)

Do you have any other stones that glow under UV light?

I am always sorely disappointed when I find crystals that are advertised as glow in the dark or fluorescent and then find out that it only glows when under a UV light

I mean, what's the point of that ? Who has UV lights in their house ? I am not going to have some boring rock on display that only looks cool under a special light. The calcite looks cool BTW UV or no UV.

I did check and they just call it fluorescence. Some people wear crystals when out and about. My little nephew is getting an energy saving UV bulb for Christmas, along with some paints and juggling balls :)

Mine was wrapped up with wire, but I'd like to do it again with silver :)
