The merging of our awareness with the oneness is gradual, and yes, there comes a time when we no longer fluctuate.
In my experience there are some who can't see us like that, and others who see and feel us more deeply yet.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru.

This is under the pretense that the all that is, is separate from us. Since we are never away from the all that is there is never a time that we need to merge in it.

No, I wouldn't. Not that I wouldn't like to, but I just feel like I have stuff to finish before any of that. I'd rather live with my own individuality for awhile.

I believe that there will come that time when we will merge with All That Is but that is because I am inclined towards Theosophy which says that this objective universe, God manifested, will eventually "sleep for seven eternities" before it wakes again.

I agree but right now the majority would not see/feel/hear/sense "us like that."

In my opinion, but that is only my own opinion, what stops us is imperfection.
As in the quote from Life as Carola (#49): we have to climb all the rungs. Also, and this may sound odd, I think that All That Is is also evolving and it can do so only through all consciousnesses.

Yes.. it is always here within around and as us.
Yet as humans we have fallen into forgetfulness of it.
'Merging' means becoming aware in it again
and surrendering all parts of us that believe the separation into It.
The idea there's no change in awakening is false.

Yes, although the question was not about the majority but about loved ones. In my experience who those are may change, but the love is deeper and purer than ever.

It is simply because the question perpetuates the idea of an achiever. The idea that there is a you to awaken, you to return.
You don't return anywhere. You simply drops away.
That is what I meant.............
