Many people paint eggs and have a special feast. If you have an altar you can do a little ritual with some candles - but decorate your altar is the seasonal colours and try to have a new plant on the altar too.

You can have a green candle to represent the warming and blossoming earth; a yellow candle to represent the Sun and a purple candle for the Goddess. As you light the green candle thank the earth for supporting us and producing our food; as you light the yellow candle thank the Sun for returning and warming the earth; and as you light the purple candle thank the Goddess for being here in her Maiden aspect.

Happy Ostara

I like that ritual, thanks Jenny! We are going to paint eggs with our kids this weekend as Ostara was during a busy work day for both my partner and I. I think I will do a little candle ritual like that as well.

I spend time having lots of sex with my husband the week of this fertility festival.. I also do some spiritual fasting the week prior (eating only things that grow in springtime) and have a feast the night of the equinox.

I walked a new section of the Coastal Pathway on the North-East cliffs. Very bracing !

We dyed eggs with the kids with natural colors we made from cabbage, onion skins, and cranberries. We went outside and picked leaves and flowers to print on them. They turned out really pretty! The next couple of days, we handed them out to hungry folks. We also spent some time in the garden and went on a beautiful hike.
