Fear of Harm?

Hello there.

I've come here to ask for advice.
I'm having trouble with fear of harm that can come to our physical bodies and bodies of all living beings, and the pain that it can cause. Sometimes I'm having obsessive thoughts at what can happen and how cruel it is, which leads me to fear and hatred against this world. Even taking a stroll in the woods and crushing a snail underfoot makes me feel this.
Maybe you can redirect me to some enlightened master speaking or writing of this topic or otherwise give me an idea of how to cope with this.
Thank you.

We are all connected. The smallest living creatures are even connected to us. My fiance' is Buddhist/Taoist and he has the same issues. For him, he meditates and sends healing to the world. Though he knows he cannot prevent or change what others do, he is ever mindful of his own actions upon this planet.

He will not kill purposely, any creature. If he happens to by accident, he says a prayer of forgiveness to the creature.

Look into Buddhism/Taoism/Daoism - this may help you.
