Hello Dear Members of this Forum

My name is Chris. I am afraid I am not very savvy with computers, however, my spiritual "awakening" has become the most important part of my life. I do not follow any religions, however I understand how important religion can be to some people. I will never discourage people from following any religion they choose, especially if it brings them happiness. Faith can truly move mountains. If a person has faith in their religion; it can do wonders for them.

I came across "Non-Duality" (Advaita Vedanta) about 10 years ago. I went to Satsangs and assorted discussions with Non-Duality teachers. I parroted the words like "you are not the body". It meant nothing but it sounded good. One day it fit into place. It was not an intellectual "awakening". More like pieces of a puzzle that suddenly fit together. I felt a special attachment to an Indian sage named Sri Ramana Maharshi. In a nutshell, there is no separation to anything. All is the Absolute (not relative to anything). God (Limitless One, the Infinite, Consciousness, Void etc) is everything. YOU are God. You are not the body/mind. YOU is the formless dreaming the dream of form. God animates this form. God is everywhere in "his" entirety in EVERYPLACE. The Absolute is infinite love (without conditions) as opposed to the God in religion who believes in conditional love " I love you but if you do not pray the right way I will condemn you to damnation and agony until the end of time." I cannot worship this cruel, vicious God filled with rage and jealousy. This God is a fiction in a story created by the Church and State to control the masses. I do not wish to convert anyone. Just give Advaita a chance. Find out about Ramana if you are curious. It may not be the time for you to know the Truth. To know the Truth you need not seek. YOU are the truth. Are you prepared to give up who you think you are? It can be scary. If you cannot wean yourself off the fear-based religions and grasp the Truth of unconditional love. That is fine. I wish you well. May it bring you happiness. I will continue to bask in this radiant light until this form is no more. I rest easy in the knowledge that that which animates this form will go on forever.
