Ezekiel 38 & 39 War will break out and last for 3 years. Russia, Ethiopia, Libya, Turkey and Iran will attack Israel. The remains of the attack will last for 7 years and it will take 7 months to bury the bodies.

God destroys 83% of the army on the mountains of Israel with fire, brimstone, plagues, confusion, fear and a great earthquake.

Then the first period of the Tribulation will begin for 3 & 1/2 years with 7 seals and 7 trumpet judgements.
Once the first half of the Tribulation has ended, will then begin the Great Tribulation lasting again 3 & 1/2 years with 7 bowl judgements, Armageddon is the 7th bowl.

Can you explain a bit more about Church Dispensation. Google left me a bit unsure of exactly what that means.

Anyway, I have to tell you about a guy I knew who lived far up north in the US.... near Minneapolis MN. January was always bitter cold and snowy, and he really hated winter. But other that his negativity regarding winter, he was a very positive thinker and believed in its power. So everyday in January he would wake up and before getting out of bed he would say, "today will be sunny and over 70 deg F. Did it for years, never gave up saying it. Then one day a few years ago, lo and behold, he was right. Went on for weeks that way, temps in the 70s, no snow, apple trees blooming away. Of course winter did make another cameo appearance in early spring just long enough to freeze all of the apple blossom and ruin that falls crop. But for a month or two, he was thrilled that after all those years of prophesying summer in the middle of winter, he was finally proven right.

You don't have to remain in that group. If you repent of your sin and put your faith in Jesus Christ you will take part in the rapture. If you die before then your body will be raised; if you are still alive your body will be transformed without your ever experiencing death.

Hi Ketzer,

The method or scheme according to which God carries out his purposes towards men is called a dispensation. There are usually reckoned three dispensations, the Patriarchal, the Mosaic or Jewish, and the Christian. These were so many stages in God's unfolding of his purpose of grace toward men. The word is not found with this meaning in Scripture, even though dispensation is mentioned four times in the Bible.

Dispensations of Providence are providential events which affect men either in the way of mercy or of judgement.

However; Dispensationalism is a man-made and non-biblical concept, nor is it found anywhere in the word of God. It is a theological system of organizing and understanding God's work. Dispensationalism came into effect around the 1830's by most mainstream denominations and was primarily used as a system of order, government or organization of a community or nation which divided the history of mankind into seven distinct dispensations: The dispensation of innocence, the dispensation of conscience, the dispensation of human government, the dispensation of promise, the dispensation of Law, the dispensation of grace, and the millennial kingdom of Christ.

I would prefer the two Biblical dispensations, whereby God has divided His word into two great divisions of the OT (Law) which shows mankind they are guilty sinners, while the NT (Grace) brings us to Jesus Christ to be saved! Dispensationalism is a complicated unbiblical system from which many doctrinal heresies and bizarre teachings arise.

raptureready.com LOL, I will have to check it out. It has the sound of a prepper's web site.... which I suppose in a way it is.

Anyway, it is interesting to note that your description of the "rapture", if read with a metaphorical eye, sounds a good deal like the experience of enlightenment (as least as I see it). The names are changed a bit, but the plot reads the same.

Can we look at this and say; The 'Second' is coming ? 'Second' meaning that certain measurement of time ? Some can or could read this as meaning that instant second in which one attains full and complete Christ realization(or what some might prefer: enlightenment) ? I do not view either one of those as some gradual process......it just instantly happens, like the rising of the sun or one's first view of something that is spectacular. I would suggest that for these chosen few or fortunate few that the Second Coming has already happened. Any thoughts ?

The mystery is that just before Jesus' Second Coming, some who die will not sleep, as being in the grave, but will resurrect to Heaven instantly.

You're overlooking that if the "second coming" already happened, where is the "new earth" and where is jesus ruling over all the Christians with a rod of iron? And why are there still non-believers here?

Yes, I got his "second" coming reference to a "second" in time. But he ended it with this, in case you missed it:

Enlightenment happens in a Split Second, like the flick of a switch a light comes on.

Those in Heaven will reign with Christ during the period of the Kingdom of Christ which that Kingdom will later be turned over to God.
