How long to wait until making contact

I don't know where to put this question but I'm wondering how soon is too soon to contact a loved one that's recently passed. They probably have work to do and don't want to be bothered... but I'm eager to book a medium session for my own grieving process...

Time has no meaning in the spirit World,, it is only used here,so a minute here could be weeks or months there.
Some spirits come through early others dont.
some come through with an Enabler that means a person who has crossed earlier can help them

I bought people through who had passed but not yet been buried so it depends on the person and how they died. if they pass through a trauma they will be given Healing first.

What Native says is very true.
There really is no time limit so I would suggest you go ahead but please don't get upset if you don't hear from the person straight away.
Having said that I used to see a medium twice a year for private readings and often I was amazed that certain people not only came through but actually walked through the door with me by my side when they had only just passed. I hadn't gone to hear from them as on each occasion the appointments had been booked prior to their passing.
On the other hand it took years before my sister came through to me.

But aside from all of that I am very sorry for your loss.

The type of Time you bring up is called anatomivcal time.. it is a construct that has been made by man to structure our day and meetings etc.

Contacting someone on the other side isn't determined by time, but I would bet you they are already communicating with you in the physical world through synchronicity:)

Sorry for your physical lose, but they will always be with you energetically. We are multidimensional souls. This means they can hang out with you, talking to Einstein, visiting Egypt and Paris while chilling on a bench in heaven all at the same time.

Yes that is a good point that Compendium makes.
You may be grieving too much still at this moment in time to feel their presence around you or see the signs but perhaps he or she always around you already.
My cousin was a medium herself , as was her mother . But when she lost her mother she was too distraught to even function never mind receive signs or sense her mother.
In the end I actually sent my cousin to the medium that I went to and her mother came straight through to her to comfort her and she repeated the very words that were whispered just before she passed. No one else in the world knew what those words were except my cousin and her mother.

In my experience,i ws told to wait until after the Funeral as some souls stick around to see who shows up, or to get comfortable in the Asral'
In my case I went to a Spiritual church a couple of days after my mother had passed,and nothing.Then after the funreal I had a message straight away.

Grief has many stages and can take a long time to overcome grief will stop you hearing communication with the spirit realm
as I said previously everyone is different some spirit may come through quickly others wont
