Of all the "post mortem survival" stories, the Leninger story is the one I use most often. Most of the cases are Asian cases where reincarnation is widely believed. The Leninger case is different in that respect since the boy is American and reincarnation was not part of the belief system of the Leninger family.
If I recall correctly, the family went to visit the sister of the deceased pilot and the boy recognized the items in the house that had belonged to the pilot.
It is indeed an excellent story among the many cases of this nature.

I actually had the opportunity to attend a live online lecture (IONS - Institute of Noetic Sciences) by the person at the University of Virginia program that currently manages the "post mortem survival" project. This phenomenon,as was duly stated, does not necessarily support reincarnation as there are other explanations for this phenomenon.
