Diagrams or no diagrams,
theories about individual intention or no self,
really have nothing to do with shifting one's awareness
into the silent absolute wholeness that we are enlightened into
.... a moment by moment choice.
In the beginning we get glimpses by grace alone
so we become aware of the option...
instead of automatically following our mind stuff
the possibility of choosing This.

ahhh.... Richard Rose. I spend days captivated in reading about his life story and mission online (I wonder if it's still there) and I love him still, beyond his death.
Truly he was highly awake, with a very intellectual style in his teaching. People spent years with him without 'getting it'.

While doing an undergrad degree at Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh I ran into one of his long time students, Art, while was facilitating philosophical self-inquiry meetings. I came on the TAT scene (the community of spiritual seekers that Rose left behind) in 2000 and got to know everyone there well. It wasn't until Rose left the scene that people began to realize what he was pointing at within themselves. Now there's about 5-6 of them that say they experienced an absolute realization, guys that had spent years with Rose. I don't have many TAT ties, moved to the Midwest, but I cherish my time there and would recommend them to anyone who resonates with being a "serious" spiritual seeker. Serious is in quotes there to indicate more the tone. They generate an erosive energy to that which can be shed.
