Exercising of ancient man?

So is there anything other than yoga that ancient man did and benefitted from in the form of exercise?

Running from large, furry animals with very large teeth hell bent on having dinner....

Tai Chi is a pretty ancient form of exercise as well. I have the first two sequences down, but I can't quite get the rest. Granted I am learning from a blasted Youtube video...

Well, yoga came from India and I figured other cultures had their special ways of exercising that could help me get in shape.

Ancient Man was probably permanently hungry and this has some health advantages but, on the other hand, they lived very short lives.

Practically Everything Was Exercise

For most there was a huge amount of exercise in ordinary life given that EVERYTHING was manual.

Okay so obviously ancient and pre-historic times required a lot more physical, natural labor than modern times do but are there no more exercises (other than yoga and tai chi) that can inspire modern men?
