Moving Through Low Spot

Don’t let the ebb & flow of life bother you. We all have our ups & downs.

You seem to be looking at opening up your mind & developing your self as a future event. It isn’t. It’s an ongoing process. Appreciate the gains you’ve made & don’t feel as if you have to be in a spiritually perfect mode all the time. Have patience w/ your spiritual growth process. We have all of eternity to work on this & that’s a very long time!

Focus more on the energy that you are generating than what you are attracting. We can do allot of negative self talk that we’re often unaware about. We choose our thoughts & emotions. When negative thoughts crop up that you don’t desire, firmly stop them, gently considering that these haven’t done any good in the past & won’t now. Send the negative thought away.

Meditation can be useful. Try different types & use what works for you. The objective is to connect w/ your core energies.

I have found that in these types of situations, getting a quite mind and listening provides the answer I needed.
You have to get quit and allow. That is where meditation helps.

For me, when meditation just isn't happening because of the blues.... I try soothing/inspiring music, one of my teacher's inspirational messages, walking or swimming in nature, using breath (pranayama) and mantra or affirmation or praying for a clear mind and the strength to keep trying, and looking for that one tiny little light in my day that gives me hope and a lead to go further. Sometimes a psychic reading helps because I get insight into what's blocking the joy that is in me. If you are lucky to have spiritual friends and can be in their company that goes a long way - also treating yourself to whatever puts you in a more positive space (like a massage or reiki treatment or gardening or whatever works for you).

Acceptance

One of the first things I was taught was that the objective of meditation was to bring what you found in meditation, the peace, calmness, serenity. Bring it all into you everyday life and eventually your everyday life becomes the meditation.

I have been through several months of personal hell and self discovery, many years ago I came across something that suggested surrendering to the moment. I found this very difficult to do as my thoughts all had other things to say about it. One day while glancing through the internet, I came across another piece that suggested surrendering, this time it included the word acceptance.

This one simple world opened everything to me, sometimes we find ourselves in difficult places and seeing as we are taught to fight on some level, that's what we do. We fight the moment and we struggle to get through. By accepting where we are, that things at the moment in time might be bad, it opens doors to things being better.

We accept the thoughts on our mind as they are, let them have their say and wave good bye to them.

One straight forward meditation I have taught to clients over the years is very quick, well as quick or as long as it takes to shower.
Once in the shower, visual that within the water is white light and it is also showering down over you, you start to bathe from the top of your head working your way down.
As you start at the head you imagine/visiualise the white light passes down through your body.
As you physically wash down the white light passes through.
Once you reach your feet you imagine /visualise all negativity washing away down the plug hole.

This takes as log as you take to shower, no hurry if you are not in a hurry.
