Tarot in spells??

hey all,
Has anyone ever used their tarot cards as an aid in spells?? Just stumbled on this recently, be interested to hear of anyone has or does use them for this purpose...

I haven't done any personally. However, I bought the Witches Tarot, which has a section on various spells, such as to enhance Tarot studies, a spell for abundance, protection, romance, etc. I'm just concentrating on trying to learn the Tarot at this stage, but I'm pretty sure there would be a lot of cross over to enable spells to be used with the Tarot if that's the way you wanted to go.

Like Pandora, I haven't personally crafted any spells using tarot, however I can see the possibilities and the underlying theory. Steampunk tarot has a spread for changing an outcome I suppose could in some ways been seen as spell crafting of manifestation work.

There are books on the subject (Renee Janina has a popular one) and Jess Carlson has a good blog post on this with a free downloadable work sheet (sorry, can't post the link but if you google her na me tha blog comes up).

I've included tarot cards in spells in the past. not actual readings, but I'd go through the deck ahead of time and pick out whatever few cards represented whatever it was I was hoping to manifest, and just put them out on the altar as part of the ritual.

I include them in some of my spells. I feel as if they add a little more oomph to the spell. I cast a couple of love spells for girlfriends to find love, and I asked my tarot cards to give me the cards that would be best for the spells. You can also use your intuition and select cards that will help you envision the spell's ultimate intention. Just ask yourself what you want the spell to do, then choose cards to symbolize that. They are a great visual aid for spellwork.
